A little piece of History

Land rover

If you've ever made your way down our little country drive, you've likely been greeted by the weathered Land Rover parked out front with an old quail feeder perched on its roof-a quiet piece of family history that welcomes every visitor. That truck belonged to Arthur 'Buck' Woodard, fondly known in the family as "Pop."

Our owner, Wayne, still carries the memories of riding these pastures with Pop, rounding up Bobwhite quail and swapping stories as they went.  Those memories- and the bittersweet echo of a declining Bobwhite population that reminds many of childhood summers-stayed with him over the years.

A few years ago, he brought home a handful of quail eggs, not knowing they would hatch more than birds- they would rekindle treasured memories of the past. What began as a simple desire to reconnect with those moments soon grew into something much greater. Today, those memories and a deep love of the land are the heart of Quail Country Farms- a full-circle moment that turned family tradition into a living, breathing, labor of love.
